Arranging a funeral is a daunting experience and often families put great pressure on themselves to get it right. Adams & Young Funeral Directors are here to help you every step of the way. Run by women we offer the caring touch, which is often needed at this time.
The importance of choosing the right celebrant for your loved one’s service cannot be underestimated. This is the one occasion where your loved one’s story is told and their memories honoured. We will take on board your choice of service and recommend who we think would be best suited to you and your loved one. Of course, the decision is yours, you may have a celebrant in mind already.
There are different types of celebrants. Humanist celebrants deliver a life centered funeral, they do not have religious beliefs so bible readings or prayers will not feature.
Civil or independent celebrants offer freedom of choice and can deliver a service with or without religion. They will be happy to read the lords prayer or include any hymns you wish. They will reflect your loved one’s life and will include any content of your choice.
All funeral celebrants are there for you and will guide you along the way and honour your loved one’s memories.
